A New Adventure

I was given the most incredible Christmas present from both my brother-in-law and his family, and my mom. The Miche Bag hand bag. My brother-in-law gave me a base purse, and my mom gave me 2 covers to go in it.

Now I know what you are asking....................."What is a Miche Bag?"

A Miche Bag is about the coolest purse I have ever bought, and I speak from experience since I am a purse-aholic. You start with a "base" purse and you have a wide variety of different "shells" that can be added to the outside of the purse. Gone are the days of having to move all of your purse contents just to change purses.

To tell you how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this purse, I have decided to become a Miche Bag Representative. I will be placing my first order in mid to late January. I truly did not realize it had been this long since I had posted anything to the blog. With Christmas and my father-in-law's death , December has been a tough month for me and my family. I will be glad when we get to December 31st and we can focus on a new year in 2010.

Harris Teeter Grand Opening in Hendersonville

A recent article in the Hendersonville Times News talks about the new and expanding grocery business in Hendersonville. Well I am curious about the Sav-Mor that is coming to town.

I have done a Google search and I can find no website for Sav-Mor. I would love to know what kind of deals they have, and any details I can find about them. I know they are an Ingles owned company, but that is all I can find.

My little sister and her soul mate will exchange their
vows and become husband and wife.

My sister Faith met and started dating Walter in August of 1994. They have become quite the couple since then. When you see one, you usually see the other, and they are devoted to one another. We (the family) often wondered if they would ever take the plunge and get married, but they both had their reasons for waiting.

Today is their special day!

I follow other couponing blogs, and one that I follow is The Coupon Goddess (gee I wish I had thought of that name first - what an awsome couponing name!). Let me tell you this lady has her couponing stuff together.

She recently went to Target, and cleaned up on candy $28.45 out of pocket, but her savings was $376.00. HOLY COW! One of her coupon sources was none other than Target's own website, and it's printable coupon section. Man I wish I had a printer that worked right now.

Black Friday Sites

With the beginning of November comes the knowledge that we are only a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving and the dreded Black Friday. Black Friday marks the beginning of the Christmas buying season, and usually offers the best deals (or at least in theory anyway).

Over the past couple of years I have started watching the Black Friday websites that will post the advertisments for the different stores on Black Friday.

As a consumer on a budget, I like to get to see the upcoming deals and plan where (and sometimes IF) I will shop on that Friday. Hey if I am going to stand in a line, before the
Butt-Crack of Dawn, then I want to know that I will be getting the most BANG for my $$$$.

The joy of wedding plans!

My baby sister got the surprise of her life when her boyfriend of 15 years proposed on their anniversary. Now we are planning a wedding!

Our biggest challenge so far has been the Bridesmaids dresses. There are 3 of us, all in different parts of the state (Mountains, Charlotte area and Burlington area). We have been looking for something that is priced right, in the right color and in the sizes we need. Those three criteria have made this search almost impossible. We were almost to the point of ordering 3 different dresses and trying to match the color, but finally things worked out.

My point to this, I have found a few websites with plus size clothing that looks really good. I wanted to share a couple of those sites with you.

My favorite by far has to be HolyClothing.com I love the peasant style tops! The best part, the prices. Everything is affordable. She offers sizes from small to 7x.

My next favorite is OneStopPlus.com - your fashion mall for sizes 12w to 44w. I especially love the Halloween costumes there. They are a little higher priced but they do have a very good selection of costumes.

Oh yes and the wedding is November 7th, please pray for me, I am going to need it.

Anyhow, GOOD NEWS!!

Harris Teeter triples coupons up to $.99, but you need to check their coupon policy because they have very strict rules to follow (certain number per day, limit on like items........). I will check and see if there is a new deal list out there and get it posted soon.
