Trip to Sams Club

The hubby and I went to Sam's Club Sunday. We have started a Sunday afternoon tradition by going and having lunch there after church. It is hard to beat the hot dog and pizza deals there. A 32 oz drink, and a hot dog for $1.88 (and they don't serve the cheap little hot dogs). The pizza deal is a drink and lg slice of pizza for $2.77(?). Well worth the money (in my opinion).

Here are some of the deals that I found there today (keep in mind your prices may vary).

14 lb box of OxiClean for $16.27
16oz X 14 lbs = 224 oz 16.27/224 = 0.07 per oz.
(this week at Walgreens they have the 56oz tub of OxiClean on sale for $4.99 or .09 per oz.)

32 - 16.9oz Deer Park Water for $4.48 ( or 0.14 ea)

44 Crystal Light drink packets for $3.81 ( or 0.09 ea)
***the only flavors were lemonade and rasberry lemonade***

50 count Frito Lays variety pack (small bags) $11.22 ( or .22 ea)

Tyson Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast $13.77
14 to 16 pieces per bag ( or .92 per piece -based on 15 pieces)

We also found good deals on Ragu, and whole wheat pasta. Needless to say we stocked up and I now have most of my food shopping done for the next month, including our vacation meals.

If you know what you are looking for and compair prices, you can find some good deals at Sam's Club too.

Happy Couponing

New Idea for FoodSavers

I got the best Christmas present ever last year. A FoodSaver. I love it, and use it all the time. I have been finding other uses for my food saver besides just using it with food. It sounds crazy, but when I sent my son to Boy Scout camp, I sent him with all his clothing vacuum sealed. It has been rainy here lately, and in my opinion, there is nothing worse than having to put on damp clothing. Even if it has been stored in a camp box. He seemed to appreciate it.

Today in an email I got another idea for a use for my FoodSaver that I wanted to share. Vacuum sealing important documents. The email (from FoodSaver) suggested as a part of the Hurricane Preparedness Plan.

For those who have FoodSavers, Sam's Club has a 6 roll pack with 2 different sizes, that I have found very handy for $39.74 (your price may vary by location). I am getting ready to have to go and get my second box. Here is a link to their website where you can order it.

Wonder what else I could use the my FoodSaver for................
